Hi!

The Organisation or the community gives you a vague idea of What do they want in GSoC. Now the elaboration of the idea and implementation is entirely up to you.

I have not contributed to Libre Space Foundation before the orgs announced but I used to contribute minor things in other organisations of my choice.

I tried to learn about the codebase of the Polaris and how it works since it uses Machine learning which i am not very comfortable with so I read and learned about it and more specifically the algorithms and library being used in the project itself. The key thing here is communication with the community. If you will talk to the members about what should I do to learn these things then they will provide you appropriate material.

Before the selection as there are a lot of students competing each other so all the communications happen in the organisations IRC channel or the platform they use. apart from that, Github or Gitlab whatevery the organisation uses is also majorly used to solve your technical doubts.

I think the key element in GSoC is of two things: How well do you communicate with the organisation in the channels and how well do you understand the project Idea. So try to improve the communication and show them through the proposal that you understand the idea clearly and the solution of mine is perfect.
